Explore Seahouses

The vibrant village of Seahouses has a busy working harbour, where you can watch the local fishing boats land their daily catch of lobster and crab each afternoon. Boats leave numerous times a day (weather permitting) taking visitors to and from the Farne Islands to see puffins during spring and summer, grey seal colonies, and an array of world renowned wildlife throughout the year.

Local shops cater for all your needs including food, clothes and gifts, not to mention great fish and chips, and the best ice cream and milkshakes. You will also find a a good selection of restaurants and cafes.

Beautiful beaches are within easy walking distance in both a northerly and southerly direction, with views of Bamburgh Castle, Holy Island and Lindisfarne Castle. Go rock pooling, body boarding and explore the sand dunes, and learn the history of Seahouses, surrounding the iconic RNLI figure, Grace Darling.
